The Jacksonville Jaguars will visit Baltimore on Thursday night as 10-point favorites, a spread driven by the rapid collapse of the Ravens' quarterback group. The Week 9 matchup pits the healthy visitors against a host team that has lost its two primary starters in a span of days.

Lamar Jackson returned from injury last week but was hurt on the first play from scrimmage, suffering an injury to his throwing hand. Tyler Huntley, who replaced Jackson in that game, also exited early with a turf toe injury. In a move to shore up the position, Baltimore traded for veteran Jacoby Brissett from the Arizona Cardinals, but he has since been benched in favor of other options.

Joe Fagnano will start at quarterback for the Ravens. The player was recently acquired from the Green Bay Packers practice squad and is not the primary choice for the contest, according to team sources. Kedon Slovis remains on the roster but will not be the main option. The situation leaves a team with high preseason Super Bowl aspirations facing a short week with no clear answer at the most critical position.

The betting lines reflect the uncertainty surrounding the Baltimore offense. The total points line is set at over 39.5, suggesting an expectation for an open game. While Jacksonville is favored, the need for Baltimore to score could keep the offense active into the fourth quarter. Analysts note that the Jaguars may adopt an aggressive offensive strategy early, potentially forcing the Ravens to rely on passing to keep pace.

Player prop markets have shifted in response to the quarterback changes. Wide receiver Zay Flowers is considered a strong value play for over 4.5 receptions. Flowers had recorded at least five catches in every game this season until last week, when he finished with zero receptions on five targets. With the Ravens needing to manufacture touches for their best playmaker, Flowers is expected to see increased targets near the line of scrimmage.

Running back Justice Hill is projected to exceed 2.5 receptions as well. Hill has historically seen significant playing time when the Ravens are trailing and serves as a reliable safety valve for the passing game. His ability to find open space makes him a likely target for the new quarterback, particularly in a game where Baltimore must balance the run and pass effectively.

In the anytime touchdown market, Jaguars wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. offers value at plus 550 odds. Although Thomas has struggled to replicate his rookie season production, he remains a key target for Jacksonville. Ravens rookie wide receiver Ja'Kobi Lane is also a candidate for an anytime touchdown at plus 750 odds. Lane has developed a rapport with the backup quarterbacks and has stood out in practice, making him a viable option for a long score given his speed and ability to make plays after the catch.
