Jay-Z has confirmed he will headline the Super Bowl halftime show on February 14, 2027. The performance will take place at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. Roc Nation, the artist management company co-owned by the rapper, serves as the production partner for the NFL's halftime entertainment. The company has produced the event since 2019. Jay-Z holds a primary role in selecting the performers.
This year, the decision-maker chose himself for the main slot. No other headliners have been announced. The NFL has not yet determined which two teams will compete in the championship game. The final regular-season games occur at the end of January, setting the stage for the February contest.
While the main act is set, the identity of any special guests remains unclear. Past halftime shows have frequently featured surprise appearances. Industry observers suggest a high probability that Jay-Z will bring out collaborators for the 14-minute set. Several artists have a documented history with the rapper and the NFL platform.
Beyonce is the most prominent candidate. She has been married to Jay-Z since 2018 and they share three children. The pair collaborated on hits such as "Crazy in Love" and "Drunk in Love" before their relationship began. Beyonce performed at the 2016 Super Bowl alongside Coldplay and Bruno Mars. She also sang the national anthem at Super Bowl XXXVIII in 2001 and headlined the halftime show at the 2024 Houston game.
Rihanna represents another strong possibility. Jay-Z, serving as CEO of Def Jam Records, discovered her in 2005. She later signed with Roc Nation in 2010. The two released songs including "Umbrella" and "Run This Town." Rihanna appeared as a surprise guest at Jay-Z's Yankee Stadium tour stop earlier this year. She headlined the 2023 Super Bowl halftime show, where she revealed her pregnancy.
Blu Ivy Carter, the eldest child of Jay-Z and Beyonce, is also on the list. She danced during Beyonce's 2024 Christmas Day halftime performance in Houston. Blu Ivy also joined her mother as a dancer on the Cowboy Carter tour. She regularly attends NFL games with her father, making a family appearance plausible for the 2027 event.
Eminem is the fourth name linked to the performance. He joined Jay-Z on stage during the current tour. The two previously collaborated on the track "Renegade" from the album The Blueprint. Eminem performed as a special guest at the 2022 Super Bowl halftime show. The NFL has not provided a schedule for announcing guest performers.
