BTS uploaded the official music video for "Merry Go Round" to YouTube on Sunday. The visual had previously been exclusive to Spotify since June. The group shared the new link through its official social media channels, and the file now resides on the BANGTANTV YouTube channel.

The song appears on the band's fifth studio album, "ARIRANG," which dropped in March. The track uses a turning carousel as a central metaphor for the repetitive cycles of daily life. The video is filmed entirely in black and white. It follows the seven members as they move through separate spaces before they reconnect. The imagery reveals that the enclosed setting is actually a massive carousel suspended in the sky.

The carousel motif links the new song to the group's past. A carousel featured prominently in the 2017 music video for "Spring Day." In that earlier clip, the symbol represented waiting and loss. BigHit Music described the current imagery as a small world containing the members' memories. The label noted that this reframes the symbol within the group's latest chapter.

The release arrives as BTS continues its world tour and the "ARIRANG" era. The group has included "Merry Go Round" in its live set during recent North American performances. The official BTS Weverse page also features related content, including behind-the-scenes material from the shoot.
