Daredevil: Born Again concludes with Season 3 after Cox run

Marvel’s “Daredevil: Born Again” will end with its third season on Disney+. Cast members were informed that the upcoming installment serves as the final entry in the current series arc, bringing a close to Charlie Cox’s latest run as Matt Murdock.

Filming for the third season has already wrapped. The show is expected to premiere in 2027, although Disney+ has not announced an exact release date. This announcement follows the conclusion of filming, which ended roughly two months prior.

The decision to finalize the series with Season 3 comes shortly after the second season premiered in March 2026. That season continued the conflict between Murdock and Fisk, whose political ambitions placed him at odds with Daredevil and other vigilantes.

Behind the scenes, Dario Scardapane has departed the show. Scardapane took over as showrunner during a major creative overhaul but left after Marvel did not renew his contract. His exit occurs while Season 3 is in post-production, with reports indicating the work is in its final stages. Marvel has not publicly explained the decision or identified who will oversee the remaining work.

The third season follows the first two seasons, which premiered on Disney+ in 2025 as a continuation of the Netflix “Daredevil” series that ran from 2015 to 2018. Cox remains in the title role, with Vincent D’Onofrio returning as Wilson Fisk, also known as Kingpin. The upcoming season also features Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, Mike Colter as Luke Cage, and Finn Jones as Iron Fist, expanding connections to Marvel’s former Netflix series and “The Defenders.”
