Leinster rugby fans will see 30 of their provincial stars on the pitch this Saturday as the team releases them back to their club sides for All-Ireland League matches. This move fulfills a specific pledge made by head coach Leo Cullen following the province’s 50-5 victory over Connacht last Friday. The release allows club teams to field stronger lineups against their opponents in the league competition.

The list of 30 players includes two Irish internationals, Max Deegan and Gus McCarthy. It also features three players who have reached 100 appearances for Leinster and 21 others who have played in senior matches for the province this year. Among the released squad members are 17 players who were part of the matchday team against Connacht. The remaining players are a mix of senior and academy personnel.

Club teams across the province will benefit from the returns. Lansdowne will field seven players, including Deegan, Hugo McLaughlin, and Todd Lawlor. UCD will have nine players available, such as McCarthy, Max Doyle, and Sami Bishti. Clontarf receives five players, Alan Spicer, Conor Fahy, Harry Goslin, Brian Deeny, and Alex Soroka. Terenure College gets four players, while Blackrock College, Naas, Dublin University, Old Belvedere, and St Mary’s College each receive one player.

The fixtures kick off at 2.30 pm on Saturday. Division 1A features Lansdowne hosting Clontarf on the Aviva Stadium back pitch. UCD will face Old Wesley at the Belfield Bowl. Old Belvedere will play Terenure College at Ollie Campbell Park. St Mary’s College will take on Young Munster in the same division. Division 1B includes a match between Blackrock College and Highfield at Stradbrook. Dublin University will host Naas at College Park.
