More than 50 years after filming, rare footage of the Harlem Renaissance is set for television release this week. The archival material forms the core of a new segment on FOX 5 Atlanta’s daily talk show, The Portia Show. The episode, airing Friday, November 6, features filmmakers David Greaves and Liani Greaves. They are bringing their family’s historic documentary, Once Upon a Time in Harlem, to the screen. The project spans three generations and preserves scenes from 1972 featuring legendary figures from that era.

The broadcast schedule runs from Monday, November 2, through Friday, November 6. Each day focuses on a specific theme. Monday’s episode, Going Beyond Reasonable Doubt, features actress Emayatzy Corinealdi. She discusses her role as defense attorney Jax Stewart in the Hulu series Reasonable Doubt. Corinealdi also addresses her career path and balancing professional demands with motherhood.

Tuesday’s segment, The Truth About GLP-1s, examines the science behind popular weight-loss medications. A physician shares her 15-year experience with the drugs. The episode also includes a mother-daughter duo discussing their personal results and a nutritionist advising on long-term weight maintenance.

Wednesday’s broadcast, Black Men in Fashion, features creative director Derek Blanks and model Cameron Boyland. They discuss redefining body positivity and changing industry narratives. Thursday’s episode, The Art of Aging, involves three women discussing societal labels and personal routines. The segment concludes with a runway show where the guests reveal their ages.

Host Portia Bruner moderates all episodes. The show airs weekdays at 1 p.m. ET on FOX 5 Atlanta. Viewers can also stream live broadcasts on the station’s website and mobile apps. The network offers an archive of previous segments, including discussions on male postpartum experiences and relationships.

The next broadcast week, November 9 through 13, continues the series of specialized discussions. Monday’s episode features relationship expert Dr. Stacii Jae Johnson discussing radical honesty in relationships. Tuesday brings author Reesa Teesa, who addresses misconceptions about her viral video series. Wednesday’s travel-focused episode features Jamila Crawford Pécou and Lisa Bonner. Thursday’s health segment includes cancer survivors Paris Murphy and Javalle McAllister. Friday concludes the week with R&B singer KEM discussing his new project, Alkemy.

The show maintains a consistent daily format. Bruner introduces guests and guides the conversation. The program is available to viewers in the Atlanta market and through digital platforms. The network encourages audience participation through social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
