Miles Sadler led West Virginia to a 91-53 victory over Stetson on Friday night in Morgantown. The freshman from Brantford, Ontario, who is the highest-rated recruit in Mountaineer history, finished with 25 points and six assists.

Sadler shot 11-for-16 from the floor. Joson Sanon provided key depth from the bench, scoring 18 points. Finley Bizjack added 13 points, while Mouhamed Sylla contributed 11 to complete a trio of double-digit scorers for the home team.

The Mountaineers controlled the game statistically. They shot 50 percent from the field and 42 percent from beyond the three-point line. West Virginia also converted 16 of 23 free throws.

Rebounding and ball pressure defined the second half. West Virginia out-rebounded Stetson 46-32 and forced 13 turnovers. The Mountaineers capitalized on those mistakes to score 21 points off turnovers.

West Virginia held a 43-30 lead at halftime. In the second period, the defense limited Stetson to just 23 points. For the visitors, Sean Morgan scored 15 points off the bench despite shooting 5-for-13. Collin Kuhl added 12 points for Stetson.

The teams have met four times since 1982, with West Virginia winning three. Their previous meeting resulted in a 103-62 win for the Mountaineers in November 2015. Stetson plays at Howard next Thursday, while West Virginia hosts Mercer the same day.
