The price of the unlocked Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 has dropped to $1,599.99 at Amazon and Best Buy. This discount removes $300 from the device's regular cost. It places the phone just $50 above the lowest price tracked so far. The reduction comes shortly before the Black Friday shopping season begins.
Buyers can increase the storage capacity from 256GB to 512GB for an extra $200. Best Buy lists all three available color options as in stock. Amazon reports that the 256GB cream version is sold out as of this writing. The device launched only a few months prior to this price adjustment.
Dominic Preston, a reviewer for The Verge, noted that the phone's shorter and wider passport-style shape feels natural in the hand. He described the form factor as reminiscent of the iPhone Duo. Despite the thin build, the 4,800mAh battery retained 40 percent of its charge after a full day of use.
The inner screen features a 4:3 aspect ratio, matching the display proportions of most Apple iPads. This configuration supports movie viewing and reading tasks. The base model lacks a telephoto lens, a feature reserved for the more expensive Z Fold 8 Ultra. The device carries an IP48 rating, suggesting caution is needed around sand and water.
Other electronics appear in this week's sales. The 2024 Beats Pill Bluetooth speaker is priced at $99.95 at Amazon and $99.99 at Best Buy. Its standard price is $149.99. The updated speaker includes lossless audio via USB-C and native support for iOS and Android. It has an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance and is available in three colors.
The Ring Battery Doorbell 2K is listed at $39.99 on Amazon, cutting its $99.99 list price by more than half. The battery-powered unit records 2K video with a 140-degree field of view and 6X digital zoom. It sends real-time notifications for detected activity and allows two-way communication with visitors.
Amazon also offers the Lego Star Wars: Ahsoka Chopper set for $66.99. This represents the lowest price seen for the 1,039-piece kit. The assembled droid stands more than 8.5 inches tall. It includes detachable arms, a center wheel for display positioning, and a head that spins and bobs.
