Municipal leaders across Vermont will convene on November 19 for the concluding discussion of a leadership development program. The event marks the end of the Governing All with Skill course offered by the Vermont League of Cities & Towns.
Ted Brady, the league's executive director, will join the session alongside Dr. Jude Rachele Smith and Rosi Gowdey. Smith is the co-founder of Abundant Sun, while Gowdey serves as a senior associate at the same organization. Their participation centers the discussion around the practical use of the course material.
The primary goal of the roundtable is to facilitate real-time dialogue about the on-demand modules previously available to participants. Attendees will share how they have applied specific lessons to their daily municipal duties. The format allows peers from different towns to compare approaches and identify collaborative strategies.
Participation in this final session does not require prior enrollment in the full course. The league states that the event is open to all members who wish to learn more about the program. This open-access policy aims to broaden the exchange of insights across the state's local governments.
Members of the Abundant Sun and JuJuBee teams, who designed the course, will provide informal moderation. They seek input from attendees to inform the collective effort behind the training. The session is scheduled for 10 AM and carries no cost to participants.
The event serves as a capstone for the four-part series. It provides a dedicated time for officials to connect and strengthen alignment in their governance practices. The league encourages all interested members to attend the November 19 meeting.
