Surgeons attribute Jennifer Lawrence's refreshed look to $30,000 eye and brow work
Plastic surgeons cite upper blepharoplasty and a lateral brow lift as the likely sources of the actress's recent aesthetic changes.

Plastic surgeons have estimated that Jennifer Lawrence spent between $15,000 and $30,000 on cosmetic procedures to address skin laxity around her eyes. The assessments, based on photographic comparisons, suggest the 36-year-old actress underwent an upper blepharoplasty combined with a lateral brow lift. These interventions are designed to remove excess eyelid skin and elevate the outer eyebrows, creating a more open appearance.
Dr. Samuel Golpanian, a board-certified plastic surgeon, noted specific differences between older images of Lawrence and recent ones. He observed drooping skin near the outer corners of her eyebrows in previous photos, which appears resolved in newer images. Golpanian stated that the removal of excess upper eyelid skin allows more of the eyelid to show, contributing to a brighter look. He suggested that the two procedures likely occurred together because they complement each other mechanically.
Dr. Sean McNally, a surgeon in Portland, Oregon, agreed with the assessment. He pointed to slight asymmetry in Lawrence's eyebrows, with the left sitting higher than the right, as evidence of a brow lift. McNally provided a cost breakdown, estimating that the two procedures would typically run about $15,000 with standard fees. However, he noted that prices in Los Angeles or Beverly Hills can reach $30,000 or more when high-end surgeons and facilities are involved.
Dr. Rozbeh Torabi of Elite Plastic Surgery offered a more cautious perspective. While he acknowledged the possibility of a brow lift, he argued that subtle changes could also result from non-surgical treatments. He cited Botox, small amounts of filler, and laser treatments as potential alternatives that could address minor skin laxity without invasive surgery.
Golpanian also identified changes in Lawrence's cheeks, describing them as more sculpted and defined in recent photos compared to earlier images. He suggested that this shift could stem from natural weight loss, potentially aided by GLP-1 medications, or from buccal fat removal. He emphasized that photographs alone do not provide definitive proof of the method used.
Lawrence recently discussed her views on cosmetic enhancements in an interview with The Cut published Tuesday. She confirmed having a breast lift and expressed interest in a future facelift. The actress said she wants to maintain a polished appearance for her children, stating she wants to look like a woman who has her life together at drop-off. The comments came shortly after she launched her new hair care brand, Mes.
The three surgeons did not treat Lawrence and relied solely on visual analysis. Their professional opinions align on the likelihood of eye and brow work, though they differ on the necessity of surgery versus non-invasive options. The estimated costs reflect current market rates for these specific facial rejuvenation procedures in major metropolitan areas.
